THE NAME
Value is what connects private markets. Valuat is where it is kept.
Our name comes from value. It is the one thing every party in private markets shares: LPs commit capital to see it grow, managers are judged on how they create it, founders and portfolio companies build it, and regulators exist to protect it. Everything else in fund operations, the NAVs, capital accounts, valuations and filings, is a way of measuring and reporting that value.
Valuat is also “value at”: value at a date, value at cost, value at fair value, value at each investor. A fund's record is the history of value at every point, for every party. We built Valuat so that history is kept once, kept right, and visible to everyone it belongs to.

We started Valuat because the operations behind European private markets deserve the same quality as the investment decisions they support.
WHY EUROPE

European alternatives are regulated country by country, reported in different formats and served by software designed for other markets. Managers absorb that fragmentation with people, spreadsheets and external providers.
We think technology can remove it: one record for the whole fund, the regulator's templates inside, and AI that does the repetitive work while experienced people stay accountable for every output.
